O sobie

My name is Jamal (Jay), I am from England and currently live in Brazil. I have a Master's Degree in Education (with specialisation in E.S.L), a Cambridge CELTA and I have been teaching English professionally for 14 years (3.5 years online). I have taught in many different countries such as Brazil, Serbia, Iran, Malaysia and Thailand to an array of students all the way from children to adults studying for various reasons or taking different exams. 
 

My style of teaching is tailor-made to students' needs; after all, every individual is unique and everybody learns differently. Hence, I use a multi-system approach and take pride in creating memorable lessons and guiding students to become confident and independent English users. I also aim at helping them develop critical thinking skills through devising lessons that are student-centered, personal, interactive and fun. 

With my vast experience and expertise as a teacher, together with my extensive cultural knowledge as an avid traveller who has visited 33 countries and lived in 11, you can be sure that we will have plenty to discuss!
