O sobie

I am Jihen, a TEFL certified English teacher and expat living and teaching in Istanbul for 3 years. I hold a bachelor's degree in English language and literature. I have started My master's degree in Intercultural Studies in 2017. The course has opened my eyes to the world and let me decide to exercise my passion for traveling and teaching at the same time in the summer of 2019. Poland was my first destination for teaching English to University students. Such an incredible experience had led me to look for more international teaching opportunities. Later I moved to Turkey and worked in different language schools and international/Turkish private schools for different levels: kids, teenagers, and adults, with diverse nationalities like Japanese, Russian, American, and Turkish students residing in Istanbul. My experience of teaching international students has inspired me to enroll in online lessons in order to meet new students from other countries and share my knowledge with a friendly, cheerful way of teaching.

As a teacher, I believe that being motivated is the key. I make my students comfortable and confident in using English with my creative style and endless support and encouragement.
