Sobre mí
My name is Alex. I've always been curious about what makes language learning click for different people. I suppose that is why I chose to study Applied Linguistics and eventually become a teacher.
Every learner is different, so I adapt my lessons to the person in front of me - their goals, personality, pace, and way of learning. I know that for many students, especially those who are perfectionists, the fear of making mistakes can become a bigger obstacle than the language itself. That's why I want my classes to be a place where you can safely and comfortably make mistakes without any fear of judgment. I do provide feedback. But I don't judge. You can feel safe with me.
My goal is not simply to help you speak English correctly but to help you feel increasingly confident speaking it and expressing yourself, even when you don't have the perfect word or sentence ready.
Whether you're learning for work, travel, studies, an exam, or simply for yourself, we'll work towards making English feel less like something you have to get right and more like something you can actually feel comfortable using without that little internal alarm constantly going: "Wait, no... that's not right." Even if it's not right - say it! We'll make it right.
I hold a Master's degree in Applied Linguistics and have professional experience working with language (English, Russian, Finnish) as a translator, localization specialist, and tutor. I'm also currently working towards my TEFL certification.
