Sobre mí
I am a DELTA qualified EFL teacher with an MA in English and many years' experience of teaching English to children, teenagers and adults of different language competence levels. Having been responsible for preparing and conducting General English and Exam Preparation courses, I have gained valuable experience in one-to-one tuition as well as working with groups of students, both monolingual and multilingual. I have also given Teacher Development classes for primary schools teachers.
Working as a volunteer for six years also considerably broadened my range of experience as an EFL teacher. Then I often worked with mixed ability groups (young adults); taught children and teenagers from poor or dysfunctional families, including those with learning difficulties, e.g. dyslexia and ADHD. The experience helped me to become more emphatetic and respect my students' individual needs and learning preferences better.
Assisting my students in discovering learning strategies that would suit them the most and adapting lessons to meet individual needs, I succeed in motivating learners to study in class as well as outside the classroom.
