Hello! My name is Airish, and I’m a TEFL-certified English teacher with over five years of experience. I’ll let you in on a little secret: I’m quite introverted and can be a bit awkward at times. But I think that makes me especially good at creating a safe, welcoming space where you can feel at ease. If you’ve ever worried about speaking up or making mistakes, trust me. I understand exactly how that feels.
That’s why I make it my mission to help students feel comfortable and supported every step of the way, especially if you already know English but often struggle with confidence when using it.
Teaching English has become one of my greatest joys, and I’m here to help you build your confidence in listening and speaking, no matter where you’re starting from.
In my class, I use 60/40 method. 40% is for vocabulary, grammar and writing because I want to secure the 60% for you to think of ideas and express yourself.
For advance learners, 60% is to talk about subjects like mental health, finances, travel, etc. to enjoy meaningful conversations.
For Intermediate learners, I will break the 60% into speaking and shadowing depending on how much you need to speak clearly and the habitual mistakes that we need to correct.
Shadowing is when I read first to show you how sentences are said by native English speakers..
You know the stress, pronunciation and intonation to build a habit to apply those in your speaking skills for clarity (if that's part of your goal)
